As posted by ThunderBreak in the Cybertron Philippines board:

here's more info from Hendra of RJ board

There are people who are selling custom build Big Falcon in Yahoo Japan right now with a BIN price of 13,000 Yen. Made by Torishima (Made in Japan, I suppose). Materials are PURACHIKKU and PVC. Whatever the heck that means.
Comes with a backlit. Designed to host Voltes V SOC only. Dimension 37cm X 21cm X 23cm (14.6"x8.3"x9.1"). It weighs 1.6 kg (3.5 pounds).

Pat told me yesterday that this will be priced PHP4-5K...

wow! can't wait for that! If it has the same qualuity as the Optimus Trailer, then I don't think it's bad....plus these things will sell like hotcake over here. Still 4-5k is kinda big amount to shell out din....

Gold texted me that GT might get the base for 3-4k....so possible pat might have misquoted. anyway, the base is really a must have! If you consider that this is almost as big as the old popy base....and at a fraction of the price of the original popy toy, even at 5k it is still a bargain!

3K-4K is not bad... considering the last DX Camp Big Falcon I saw was being sold for PHP50K...

Hey The Game!

sulit ang SOC, but I suggest you start with SOC first, then later on go to Aoshima. Price wise, SOC is the better way to go, and more accesories than Aoshima. Don't go into SOC evas! Trust me on this! hehe!

thanks bro!

just curious, what's the problem with the soc evas? :) and btw are there any differences between the original and reissues for mazinger and great mazinger?

i'm also just thinking of sticking with soc... and if ever will they release mazinkaiser or shin getter?

As far as I know the license for Shin Getter and mazinkaiser is with Aoshima and Max Factory. Well, Eva just isn't my thing...and I find them expensive (they are pretty puny looking) considering they are the same price with Mazinger Z! If you were to get an Eva, I suggest you just get GX-14, the purple Eva. There is also another SOC line that will also feature EVAs, you might wanna try those out also!

No difference between the original and reissues Mazingers from what I've heard!

SOC is a really terrific line, and in my opinion, you really get what you paid for. I have figures, robots, statues, gashapons, etc in my collection, and lemmi tell you, SOCs are really the best! Very playable, great sculpts, lots of gimmicks, etc. I just don't like the choice of characters they're coming out these days! hehe!

If you're starting with Voltes V, game, I suggest you follow him up with Combattler V

Hehe, personally my favorite SOC has always been Great Mazinger, I like it because it's mostly simple yet elegant. Just the right amount of proportion and poseability.

SOC EVAs are OK, but most folk(including myself) have kinda always regarded the series as a "Real Robot" line and not a "Super Robot" as compared to Voltes and the rest.

Toy-wise, the SOC EVA isn't bad, Bandai just kinda overused the mold what with releasing 6 versions of essentially the same base toy :)
