As eralier reported by Vader, Goyer is off the project. Here's an update from newsarama.

SHAWN LEVY TO DIRECT WB'S FLASH

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With David Goyer announcing that he’s off the movie adaptation of the Flash late last week, the void didn’t remain unfilled for long.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shawn (Night at the Museum) Levy has stepped in as the new director for the project at Warner Bros. The movie will be his directorial follow-up to Museum.

The film version of DC Comics’ speedster will be produced by Charles Roven and Alex Gartner, with Levy most likely joining the two.

From THR:

Sources said that Levy, who before "Museum" had been known for such comedies as "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "The Pink Panther," has no intention of making "Flash" a comedy but is aiming for a lighter movie than previous Warners comic book adaptations, such as "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns." Goyer's "Flash" also had been dark-themed.

Levy will oversee the writing of the new draft, and it is believed elements of Goyer's script will be used in the development process.

I think this is possible especially if the rumours that Ryan Reynolds of Blade Trinity will be portraying Wally West. If they will be having Wally as the alter ego, not Barry.

Is this project pushing through? I thought it was scrapped already?

I'm hoping for the former of course :)

Warner is still pushing through with this one bro Yam thank goodness. They just had "creative ideas" conflict with Goyer.

To give you an idea of Goyer's vision...the movie was supposedly to feature both Wally & Barry.

I hope Ryan still is in the role. He fit's Wally to a T with his wit & humor!

Thats great news! Thanks for the update bro Kent! Who do you think could best portray Barry Allen? Ryan's physically perfect for the role too because he sports Flash's lean look that we sort of got used to because of the JL/JLU animated series :)

I can only think of Ryan as of now bro. He's physique in Blade Trinity is indeed perfect for the role of Flash be it Wally or Barry.

Totally agree with you Bro Kent, but isn't Barry supposed to be bulkier and a bit shorter than Wally? I stand corrected though.
Any news who will be portraying Allen?
