Hey guys,

I was thinking how to post my collection in afhub. I thought of taking updated pictures of my stuff but I'm too lazy to get off my keyster to take pictures. Besides, most of the stuff are in balikbayan boxes. So, I just thought of utilizing a "Best of" type strategy by using pictures that accumulated the past 2 years. This way it will be like skimming through a family album :) I will just try to update the entries as best as I can... Anyway, here they are ... hope you enjoy them as much as I did...

These pix were taken January, 2005 when i moved to my new house...

Chouseishin Gransazer

Chouseishin Gransazer was produced by Toho and Konami to directly compete with Toei's Sentai Series... This show is currently being shown at HeroTV. Initially, I thought of bringing all of these in the H3 event this coming Saturday. But since I already posted it here, might as well take this out in the event. I will just use other mechs to keep the display area fresh... and give the H3 attendees more surprises.

here's a little background on Gransazer

Plot Summary: Billions of years after an advanced human civilization was destroyed by aliens, twelve direct descendants of the civilization's warriors called "Sazers" have their powers awakened and form four tribes: Fire, Wind, Earth and Water. At first, they wage war on each other, but after learning the truth of their ancestry, the GranSazer tribes unite to protect Earth from the alien forces bent on once again extinguishing all life on the planet.

The boxes of these toys are huge and the toys are very playable.

Included in the pix are the 4 individually packed chouseishin, the daisazer boxset, cloud dragon and the sazers action figures.

Anyway, let's star with the Chouseishin (Ultra Star Gods/mechs)... there are basically 2 versions of the mechs... the individually packed ones and the boxset version. The individually packed Chouseishin can transform to both Live Mode (Animal mode) and Warrior Mode (Robot form). It is bigger than their boxset counterparts. However, they cannot combine. The Boxset (DX) contains all 4 Chouseishin and Guntras. They are a little bit smaller but it has the ability to combine with Guntras to form Daisazer.

Here's the 4 Chouseishin (warrior mode) and Guntras.

The Sazer Gear (upgrade parts) are included in the gransazer action figures.

Chase Cards

Back in the early 90's, card sets were the in-thing. Everybody was collecting different types of card sets and chase cards -- sports cards, superhero cards, etc. I was obsessed with getting superhero chase cards.

... a little bit of trivia. Chase cards paved the way to action figure variants. There were no short packed or variants in the 90s. It was Todd McFarlane, who were once active in doing comics and cards, that ported this to action figures. So, if you are peeved because of AF variants and chase figures... then you have no one to blame but the toddster himself :D

... i'm really sorry for the numerous pix... if you are using dial-up and dont wish to see the pix. Pls. feel free to press the stop button-- the one with an x if you are using IE.

Valiant chase cards... Marvel and DC's work wasnt that impressive during the 90s... storywise, i would vouch for Valiant... X-O Manowar, Harbinger, Solar and HardCorps are my favorite...
