So I think sales rep are generally good. They just seem "bad" to us because sometimes they make mistakes and hand over toys to hoarders.

i won't contest this -- there ARE some very nice sales reps out there; the Galleria people were very helpful and were the only reason i got the semi-hard-to-find tailend Cybertron figures they had. very nice "birthday present", although they didn't know of course. people like that, i WOULD treat to even a small burger if i could out of gratitude.

it's just that there ARE some bought-and-sold sales reps, who make scalping possible and even easy. i mean, SERIOUSLY, a scalper doesn't just *happen* to pop up right when the new cases are being opened out of sheer coincidence. no, that's more the sort of happy accident that happens to your average buyer [me, for instance -- i walked in on them unpacking the new Cyb deluxes and first few 6" TF Titaniums at the time, having no idea what i'd stumbled onto] but not for the forewarned [and set-aside-for] scalpers.

and yeah, i've been after teddyboy to sign up here already. the story must be told, but i'd rather he did it himself.

I was at Toytown half an hour ago and was asking about the (old but rereleased) XMC line. They pointed it to me and I noticed only Wolverine was left on the pegs. I asked the salesguy about it and he said that they had a delivery of 24 Wolverines and 12 Cyclops'. Lucky me, there was one last Cyclops. Then the guy said that 2 guys came in and took 4 Cyclops' each because they can sell it at Php1,800 a pop. I pulled back with a puzzled/annoyed look and shouteed "ANO?!?!". And he says "Oo nga, sir. eh hindi naman namin pwedeng agawin pabalik ang mga hawak nilang laruan. kakainis nga. sir."

I was at toytown earlier this evening. Saw a whole bunch of sentinel strike wolverines. No more Jim Lee cykes. Ran into Jewris of PTK. I think I met the same playkit rep as he told me that there was a guy bragging the he would be able to sell it at 1.8k outside. Who ever this guy is, he is nuts! Ngeek!!! It's either both are clueless or simply lacking up there. Are there really people who would fall buying a product 4 times it's value when you see 'em in malls at SRP?

Same thing happened to me at toytown except i didnt get any cyke, to think i bought one, a loose one at that, a month ago for above srp oh well, if anyone sees one can you kindly pls get one for me. afhub/cry.gif
