Looks nice, but the blast effects are getting a little overused if you ask me.
It seems Michael Bay and his designers are actually shying away from human-like faces for the Transformers. I guess this is how he views mechanical alien lifeforms

I'm not really impressed with this new look..

that digicam looks neat! it'll be nice if it can take pictures! hehe!
Hmmm, I wonder who the designers for the TF movies. It's nice....but they are too alien looking for me. The only thing the resembles the transformers we know is the logo.

I noticed a change in the packaging for the latest titanium TF - they added a small Gen 1 cover/label on the front , upper left hand side of the packaging at least for Rodimus and soundwave. This line now rocks.
...
Here's to a War within Grimlock ! Hopefully Hasbro goes full blast with Cybertronian figures in the Titanium ser.
if you mean solely because of the G1 label, i'm not on board with that. if you mean because they're labeling according to line, that i rather like. if you mean because it now has Rodimus Prime, well,
and i second that motion for more Cybertronian figures [you might be happy to know they're going to make War Within Megatron and The Fallen too]... i want Stormbringery goodness too.
also, at Botcon 2006 Hasbro confirmed that they would indeed have a War Within Grimlock.

I saw some Lego Bionicles in TK earlier today and they kinda resembled the movie Transformers.

i agree. hence, there've been some haters calling it the Bionicle movie. hehehe.
i dunno, this look actually makes sense to me... the blocky, simplistic G1 designs wouldn't look that good in 3D. from an aesthetic standpoint and a believability standpoint [no mass shifting, disappearing parts, etc i think] -- making that's what they looked like when i was a kid" the main reason to use only the old designs. updated versions of the old look, as with Alternators, might have looked better, but would share a lot of the same weaknesses imo.
i'm not that big a fan of the in-movie look itself, but i love how it translates to the toys -- by default, they've got less greeblies and less of a "parts and panels everywhere" feel than the CGI models. the look does grow on you.
i think this update will look great all put together, and will be received very well -- it's our 2006/7-era culture's definition of "high-tech/futuristic" [it does change -- for more differences see how different the "future" clothes from TFTM and Bicentennial Man are, for instance].
initially, i was worried about resemblances too, but most of the details are there [for most of them -- the decepticons are practically all new]. prime has the face and his chest windows. bumblebee's yellow and friendly. it's no more G1 than Armada, Energon or Cybertron were -- it's a reinterpretation, i think, a reimagining. the Ultimate universe clicked, and i feel reasonably confident this might as well.
sorry for rambling, hehe.

Compared to Armada Red Alert recolor.
This guy is big...voyager class. Makes sense with the level of detail on the toy.
