Transformers Alternators: Silverstreak

To me both the Masterpiece and Alternators / Binaltech line captured the essence of TF G1 characters dead on. They brought back the excitement first generated by the line 22 years ago. Not to mention they are more or less in scale with one another.

Forget about the box art, this for me is Blue Streak, the Autobot gunner. He may no longer be a Datsun Fairlady, but a Subaru Impreza is a good alternate mode.

I first eyed getting this, 2 years back when I received my Masterpiece Optimus Prime as a birthday gift. I've been holding back since then, I'm glad to have waited this long.

At this price, its a giveaway. He's also selling out fast, since the price slash.

Wow nice Primes Eric the awesome number of Blue and reds are blinding hehehe

Thanks to the Target sale i was able to get the Titanium Optimus, Megs and Jetfire for only 7$ each. Too bad there was not Thundercracker though. I'll pass on Optimal optimus and that Seeker.

it certainly looks that way.

when asked this at Botcon 2006, Hasbro's Aaron Archer and company said they did have redecos in mind... and, smiling, continued, "use your imagination."

Just got Thundercracker (last one) and Rodimus (also last one sorry guys) from Walmart- still need to go back for Soundwave. I noticed a change in the packaging for the latest titanium TF - they added a small Gen 1 cover/label on the front , upper left hand side of the packaging at least for Rodimus and soundwave. This line now rocks.

BBTS BTW is accepting preorders for Titanium TF: R.I.D. Optimus, War within Starscream and The Fallen (from Warwithin: The Dark Ages). Its too bad Dreamwave ended the War within comics.

Here's to a War within Grimlock ! Hopefully Hasbro goes full blast with Cybertronian figures in the Titanium ser.

TF Toys are really getting better IMO.

Actually, TF toys have been getting better after Armada. Galaxy Force/Cybertron toys have been the best of the trilogy (Armada-Energon-Cybertron) in terms of toys and cartoon IMO.

It is only recently that Transformers is back in the spotlight coz of the Classics toys that are homage to the G1 characters and the TF live action movie.
