anybody here having the same problem as me? Since the Taiwan earthquake, I've been having trouble connecting to various websites like yahoo, google (and sometimes afhub). It's been more than a week now and I'm puzzled as to why I'm encountering some problems, is it an isolated case? if it is, anybody can help me solve this problem? some tips and advises are highly appreciated, thanks!

I believe it's a PLDT-wide problem. I'm having trouble connecting to Google and Yahoo as well. Until the undersea cable repairs are completed, I expect to have molasses speed for the next few weeks.

Sorry, I know this doesn't help one bit. But knowing you're not alone might provide some consolation. Hang in there, sister smile.gif

Yup, I think it has something to do with the earthquake. I've had no trouble visiting google and messageboards since the problem began but I did have to open only one window at a time. This has improved somewhat over the past few days. Right now, I can visit sites which were not accessible when the Taiwan quake hit. My brother said that this problem will persist for a few more weeks.

I've been talking to our IT specialists in Singapore and Hong Kong, it seems that the damage caused by the Taiwan quake will take 3 to 4 weeks to fix. afhub/duh.gif

They've even discouraged us on sending e-mails with large file attachments.

I also had a hard time downloading some programs on the net... I have been trying to DL some patches for world of warcraft and it really burned my time. Uploading pictures is also a problem for me. dry.gif
