Thor looks decent in the photo. I'm worried about the final product. Just like in Xmen ser 3 Nightcrawler. The figure looked great in the promo pics but when it came out.. Ugh...

Hi Sis Jenn. In Toyfare 114, pg 16, they still noted that series 2 will still be Dr. Doom and The punisher.

porkypig- 12-15-2006
yehey! I've read it somewhere kasi that it was scrapped, don't know where though... goodie for hubby! smile.gif

I agree with everyone, the new ICONS Thor prototype pics look a lot better now biggrin.gif

I just hope he'll be taller and in scale with the rest of the line, I mean come on, Wolverine's only supposed to be 5'3", while Thor is around 6'6" afhub/duh.gif

I've been wondering about the quantity of the current ICONs. Series 1 and 2 sold like hot cakes and were very hard to find on the shelves. Series 3, however, seems to be quite common and easily found in all the local toy stores. Did playkit get a bigger order of these or are these just not as popular as the other Icons? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that these are quite numerous as of late. I'm just wondering why these don't seem to be selling as fast as the other series.

It's most likely Playkit who learned their lesson, ICONS 1 & 2 are under ordered since they don't think that large action figures with a P999.75 price point could sell as much as it actually did.

When Series 3 came out, and one of their most popular franchise characters is on the wave, Playkit stood ready biggrin.gif

Thats good to hear Bro. I hope that they do the same with the Hasbro Icons.

porkypig- 12-19-2006
the problem is will Hasbro Icons have the same price points? biggrin.gif

sigma_spider- 12-19-2006
doubt it sis jenn. knowing hasbro most likely the srp is gonna be a little higher. which i'm really hoping won't be true...

beckham07- 12-21-2006
if i remember it right, on tru's site, they priced the hasbro icons at $22 sumthin while the current icons are at $16.99, not sure though if the pre-order price is supposed to be higher than the available figs. so there! a $5 increase! if this will be the case i think i will not complete this line anymore, ill probably just pick up whatevr suits my liking. anyway, im running out of splace! afhub/duh.gif

dude247- 12-22-2006
At $22 srp in the states, We'll be seeing these here at around 1,250 - 1400. Oh my, oh my. sad.gif

porkypig- 12-22-2006

I guess we should blame this on Hasbro's high price point and SRP.

Take this for example:

A Transformers Alternators retail in the US for $19.99, SRP in the Philippines originally was P1699.75 till they lowered it to P1499.75

Another case, 2 years ago, Star Wars VOTC 12" Action Figures were sold for $28-30, it came out in Toy Kingdom priced P2699.75

And Hasbro is well known to milk the molds for recolours and exclusives afhub/rubchin.gif
