Any updates on this series? When's the 3rd season coming out here in the PI?

Writers of Lost have requested the producers to give the show a deadline. They are claiming that they do not want to overdo their welcome like "Xfiles." Cant wait to have this series resume. Is it true that they will adding more scenes to the first 6 episodes when they show reruns of it?
