You're right, vader. They definitely look much better. I'm really loving their rendition of Thor on this one. These must be the initial prototypes. I really do hope they stay as close to these as possible. Hang on, let me check out Thor again...

... Whoa-ho-ho. Incredible!

I hope they maintain the price range of the toys in this line at an affordable range. Us collectors aren't exactly made of moneu... At least most of us aren't.

Ziggy Stardust- 11-22-2006
Haha, vader, loved your comment on David Duchovny being Dark Phoenix.

hate to be the wet blanket, but Hasbro loves to do this with promo/packaging photos... they touch up the crap out of them [see Cybertron -- normal grays become metallic silver, normal bronzeish orange becomes gold].

Phoenix does look different here though. mold details look different -- could be the angle. but Yellowjacket's head... that's just huge.

so guys, there is no exact pricing for the figs yet? hope it wont reach SW unleashed price. cool.gif

it's still not official but early adopters' price at CSC is $11.99 (retail listed as $14.99 - afhub/yikes.gif), and they're well known for their reasonable pricing.

Caulfield- 11-22-2006
Yeah, afhub/yikes.gif

Ziggy Stardust- 11-22-2006
I do hope I'm wrong on my price speculation unsure.gif

i think vader's post was the prototype with packaging while carthut's is the finished product but based on his other post the helmet is still removable.

ThunderBreak- 12-29-2006
you mean they are out in the US... don't they have a contract that says they only assume Marvel figs starting January?

... i guess 3 more days won't matter smile.gif

Protoform-S- 12-29-2006
Wildstar's right...the wave 1 figs have started to show up in the US.

TNI poster robb found these in a Target store in Aiken South Carolina

What happened to Emma Frost's face?!

some observations:

Annihulus looks smaller and wingspan, even more smaller as compared to prototype pics from conventions

Ultimate Ironman looks awkward- a case of chicken legs?? kinda liked the legs of the MS ultimate ironman more

Banshee and Emma frost look depressing

Hercules and Beast look great! ( more X 3 figures on the way)

Planet hulk Hulk - shield but no weapon? what gives...

Ziggy Stardust- 12-29-2006
Have they ran out of giant characters to create, I mean, Annihilus can pass as a regular ML figure, he's even shorter than Planet Hulk.

I mean, Mojo was small, but Annihilus is smaller, even Blob for that matter.

Top of mind, I can still think of a few giants that are awaiting the BAF treatment.

The Celestials
Terminus
Yellowjacket (now this will be cool)
Giant Woman (Janet Van Dyne in giant mode)
Atlas (from the Thunderbolts)
Goliath (Bill Foster, before he was killed by Clor or Thone)
Stature (from the Young Avengers)
Ultimate Giant Man
Giant Men (from the Ultimates)
